Legal 500 2025: Cripps continues to dominate
Cripps has, once again, solidified its position as a leading law firm in London and the South East, according to the industry-leading Legal 500 guide.
The firm’s expertise in corporate, private client, and real estate law has earned it top tier rankings in 15 practice areas, with an additional five areas receiving high recommendations. In London, the firm is ranked in nine practice areas, including a new ranking in the ‘family – London’ category.
Regarded as one of the leading guides for the profession, The Legal 500 analyses the capabilities of law firms with a comprehensive research programme capturing feedback from clients. Law firms are then ranked according to their achievements over the previous year.
The Legal 500 praised Cripps for its exceptional real estate team, noting their ability to provide ‘value and expertise to the whole process’. Another client commented, “They delivered over and above one’s expectations.”
In corporate and commercial law, the firm was recognised for its client-centric approach and dedication to understanding and meeting specific needs. One client praised Cripps for their ability to “adapt their approach to our needs.”
The private client group were commended for their exceptional care and attention to detail. One client expressed satisfaction with the firm’s ability to “go above and beyond, always.” Another client commented that the contentious trust and probate team is “at the top of their game for legal knowledge and strategic decision-making.”
Cripps’s sector expertise, particularly in IT and telecoms (where it received a top tier ranking), was also highlighted. Clients appreciated the team’s deep understanding of the industry and their ability to provide clear and concise guidance. As one client noted, “The team has excellent knowledge and understanding and the ability to break down and simplify the areas where we need support.” The firm’s expertise in AI and data protection was also noted.
In addition, 20 lawyers have ranked in the elite ‘leading individual’ category alongside ten ‘next generation partners’ and six ‘leading associates’. Myles McIntosh has been moved into the ‘hall of fame’, being respected by peers and clients for his longstanding involvement in contentious trust and probate work.
These excellent results follow Cripps’ win at The Lawyer Awards earlier this year.
