Cripps advises on sale of Forbes Insurance Limited to Howden UK&I Holdings Limited
Lowri Jones who heads up the Cripps Insurance M&A team advised Terence Moyes, the sole shareholder of Forbes Insurance Limited, on the sale of the Leicester based commercial lines insurance broker to Howden UK&I Holdings Limited. Lowri has advised numerous clients in relation to the sale of insurance businesses to Howden.
Forbes specialises in niche insurance lines, including aviation, which made it a strong strategic acquisition for Howden UK&I.
Cripps’ experience in the insurance sector and familiarity with Howden’s acquisition approach helped ensure a smooth and efficient transaction, meeting the client’s objectives and securing a strong future for the business within Howden’s network.
Lowri Jones, partner at Cripps, commented: “Another great transaction illustrating our expertise in the insurance M&A sector to deliver a great result for Terence. We are pleased to have helped him secure the right home for Forbes with Howden, ensuring a smooth transition and a strong future for the business.”
Terence Moyes, former owner of Forbes Insurance Limited, said: “You have done a fantastic job and I can see why Howden recommended you. Thank you to all the team for your professionalism, hard work and perseverance – we got there in the end. Very impressive and much appreciated.”
