Cripps advise on the sale of Hencilla Canworth GI to Howden

Cripps’ corporate insurance M&A team has advised the shareholders of Hencilla Canworth GI, an insurance broker who specialise in providing insurance to the performing arts sector, in the sale of their company to Howden.

Hencilla Canworth GI is an independent specialist insurance broker providing insurance solutions for the performing and creative arts. It has established insurance schemes with many leading organisations in the sector, including the Musicians’ Union and BECTU (Broadcasting Entertainment Communications and Theatre Union).

Leading up to the sale Cripps had advised the shareholders of the company in relation to a demerger, separating the broking business from the financial advisory business.

This is another successful transaction to bolster Cripps’ impressive credentials acting for clients in the insurance sector.
