As a partner in the corporate team, while I have considerable experience in advising directors and shareholders on a range of different types of corporate transactions, I have particular experience in transactions involving private equity (investment and M&A).

Having worked with acquirers, sellers, management teams, banks, investors and private equity, I have a good sense for what is reasonable to ensure that the interests of all parties are fairly protected. In addition to the UK-based clients I work with, I also work with clients in the US and Spain (I am fluent in Spanish) and, as a result, a lot of M&A transactions I advise on are cross-border and involve private equity.

My experience

Advised a group of further education colleges (EKC Group) on its acquisition of certain elements of Hadlow and West Kent & Ashford Colleges.

Advised the shareholders of Credence Background Screening Limited on the sale of the company to Canadian private equity-backed Certn Holdings Inc.

Advised Big Motoring World on its acquisition of SW Car Supermarket.

Advising US private equity-backed Uniguest on its acquisition programme in the UK, which has included the acquisitions of Onelan, Tripleplay (including its international subsidiaries), Planet eStream and MediaStar Systems.

Advising the Mobeus (now Gresham House Ventures) growth team on its £4m investment into Connect Childcare, the UK’s leading nursery management software.

Advised the shareholders of Sahara Holdings Limited on the sale of the Sahara group of companies to Nasdaq quoted Boxlight Corporation.
